But why should it stop there? In addition to your own business being green, it's important that this mindset carries through to the businesses that you deal with in your supply chain and other dealings.
How we do it
Responsible Travel
We arrive and encourage all our crew to arrive to set in electric vehicles, public transport or car share wherever possible. This helps to reduce the carbon footprint through fossil fuels.
No Single Use
On set we have a strict “no single use plastic” rule. Crew members bring in their own water bottles and cups to reduce the use of non-degradable plastics that just end up getting dumped in oceans. Our on set catering also minimises the amount of food wrapped in single use plastic. Cups and cutlery that we do provide is always either recyclable or re-usable in some way.
LED Lighting
Aside from specific circumstances, Gatton Creative endeavours to always use LED lighting when we are shooting. LEDs use at least 75% less energy than traditional bulbs and can last 25 times longer without compromising their effectiveness in lighting a scene.
